At MDS Global, we are eager to define long-term goals and plans for the future to maintain our company’s position as the leading provider of BSS-as-a-Service solutions for MVNOs, enterprise service providers and IoT application providers. However, there is little point in setting goals and plans for the future if there is no environment for our business to thrive.

As a business, we have the ability and moral responsibility to harness our resources to make a positive impact on the world and the people living in it.

To do this, we are focusing on four primary areas: supporting our environment, supporting our local communities, supporting the next generation and supporting women in technology.

Team Efforts
MDS Global Expansion

We support our environment

Sustainability is embedded in our core ethos. We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment and we are taking measures to ensure we are playing our part.

We provide our team with the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely. Not only does this increase employee satisfaction by reducing commuting times and enabling our team to work in different environments, but it also reduces our carbon footprint.

We aim to work as efficiently as possible, which includes investing in the latest technologies, but we make sure that our old materials do not go to waste. We provide legacy equipment to developing nations, and we guarantee that all of our general waste is recycled or sent to plants in Germany that transform waste into energy. None of our waste goes to landfill.

We support local communities

As part of our sustainability plans for 2019 – 2020, we have partnered with local charities across the UK and Ireland, to make a real positive impact in our local communities, where our colleagues live and work.

We actively encourage our team to participate in charity fundraisers to raise awareness for our partnered charities and to increase the number of donations. We also provide an easy, tax-efficient way for our colleagues to donate to their chosen charities through Payroll Giving.

We are proud to be making a positive difference to the lives of others and are looking forward to building longstanding partnerships with our charities for years to come.

“The best thing we can do for the next generation is give them the opportunity to shine.”

Stephen Randall, CTO

We support the next generation

We firmly believe that investing in people is the key to our success. We want to inspire the next generation to achieve their full potential and be the best that they can be, no matter their socio-economic or ethnic background.

We are currently providing opportunities for graduates, apprentices and work experience students to enhance their own personal development and launch their careers.

We are also partnering with Skill Supply, a UK-based provider of specialist STEM workshops for children aged 5 – 13, which are delivered in a fun and interactive way. MDS Global are proud to contribute towards the cost of each child’s place at these workshops to instil a passion for STEM subjects in the next generation.

Working in a technology-focused business is a brilliant career choice. Historically, the industry employed a high proportion of men, so we are passionate about encouraging and supporting women to consider careers in technology.”

We support women in technology

Working to achieve strength through diversity and inclusion has been a longstanding goal at MDS Global. This commitment to diversity is essential to the success of our business and we continue to uphold women’s career development and advancement as a strength and ideal.

We have recently adopted ‘Lean-In Circles’, an environment in which women can be unapologetically ambitious, voice their aspirations and gain the confidence to achieve those aspirations.

We are advocates of shattering glass ceilings and aim to advance our colleagues into leadership roles no matter their gender, race, religion or sexuality. A great example is Pauline Jones, our Head of Business Change. Pauline has recently achieved her long-service award after 30 years at MDS Global, where she developed our core Business Operations function. Pauline is passionate about encouraging women to consider a career in STEM roles and is a great role model for our colleagues.
